This is a tough one. You'll need a good pen light. Make sure the window is up. The triangle piece behind the door pull comes off. It's held in place with snaps. Give it a forceful pull and it will come out. Behind this is two screws. If you remove those screws, you'll have more play in the door panel. If you can get some long needle nose pliers up there you may be able to reach the cable. You'll have to be basically laying across both seats to get into a good position.

Well now that makes a differance. I suggest that you try a slim-jim in the door. It would seem that you could get the rod to move and then the door would open...Skip....

more than likely it's a clamp shell on one of the rods that popped loose.
this a common place thing that happens on line quite a bit.
we had it on the vue door line, the ion door line... and soon to be chevrolet traverse door line. it's a problem that follows all GM products. usually it's never and issue but it happens from time to time. a team member probably didn't double check to enusre it was clamped tightly but they tend to work themselves loose over time.

and no. there is no easy way to get to it with the door shut. take it to the dealer.

If you can't do it by going up through the hole behind the piece I described, you can either take it to a dealer or take the door off yourself. It sounds difficult, but if you take your time, it's not that hard. Here's a couple pictures that may help you if you decide to do it yourself.

This information did help. Was able to see the cable but not reach it. The top of the door panel gives enough with it closed to grab the cable and open the door.

Problem is the inside pull handle. Hole for the cable is streched. If it happens again, I will need a new handle.

Again, thank you for your help with this problem.

Glad it worked. You can remove the entire door panel and adjust the cable so it's tighter. Good luck.
