I honestly don't think it would have ran at all!
I did the same thing. Once I hit triple digits, car was sputtering like a moFo and acting like a bucking bronco

IMHO
Buy AC Delco 41-108s. Verify that that gap is .028 before putting them in your kappa. [Mine were dead on in the pack of 8 I received]
Drive the car
Thrash the car a little [High Speed and High RPM, wimps need not apply]

If it runs good stick with this. If not, then experiment with gap or going to a colder plug depending on your setup.

I had problems in 4th around triple digits [and beyond]
1-3 has never been an issue with anything in my car.

.45 is high but if its working for you then more power to ya. You mentioned Auto XP, i personally had these on and have recently replaced them since I was having the car seem to misfire in 3rd a lot. I then gapped the stock AC Delco's to .32 and they worked like a charm. AC Delco are actually made by NGK. I then bought NGK Power 4 iridiums and have not even had one hickup. AutoliteXP's imo are GARBAGE and its a well known fact that they have issues in the LNF community.

Yesterday I decided to clean every coilpack with Maf cleaner, connections and all and added dielectric to the plugs and coilpacks. Wow, cars idle is so much smoother!

yeah i put the dielectric greese on all the spark plug cermic tips and the coil pack openings and also the coil pack connectors.

had to degap my plugs to 0.032", they eventually started blowing out under wot at 0.045". oh well didnt take that long to take out and degap.

Yea, that is why I mentioned before that .045 was a tad high. My ngk's were gapped at .049 out of the box. .032 is what I gapped them at. Perfect!
