tire jack for lowered sky

I lowered my sky with the Gravana Eibach 38105.140 Solstice/Sky Pro Kit Sport Lowering Springs - 1"Front/1.3" Rear Drop. I cannot get my regular jack under the car. Does anyone know where I can get a low profile jack in case I ever need to change the tire???

Make yourself a simple wooden ramp out of three or four 2 by 10s or 12s. Nail or screw them so as to make a pyramid like structure, begin with the longest on the bottom and gradually work your way up. Use it on the front or the rear, all you need is a few inches and your jack will fit! Drill a hole in it and then hang it on the garage wall.... easy in theory, (i never tried it)... Good Luck! BTW!! Make the top board long enough so that you don't run off of the ramp, or glue and screw a 2 X 2 on the end to trigger you to brake! Kind of like the old oil change ramps we all used , but much lower... Puggs

If there's a harbor freight around near you they have a pretty decent selection of floor jacks.I bought a #3000 alluminum jack for $130 3.54" minimum saddle height. Not something you would want to carry in the car though

I don't know. I stick to where GM says to lift it from.

I suppose as long as it doesn't put a lot of stress on the drivetrain or mess up any drain plugs, tubing etc. I haven't ever looked that closely at the way the Diff is anchored to the chassis.

Or how strong the outer differential casing is. Isn't it made of aluminum? The casing is not meant to support the weight of the car! You have to consider the structure of the differential itself in addition to how it is mounted to the body!

Here are some pictures of the racing jack I use on SPIRIT (It is very low-profile) and where I put the jackstands. I lift from the factory recommended lift points.

That's obviously the better way to lift and support it
That jack is pretty much the same thing I've got. Mine is not blue anodized and has a carry handle on both sides.
