ways to make the sky lighter?

I already made some mods to lighten up my car such as changing the wheels and battery, shaving off about 40-45 lbs.

Are there other ways to make the car lighter?

thanks!

in addition to that.....

Light weight battery, Lighter rims, remove power steering, carbon fiber body panels

If you just want about 50 lbs without any real compromises, then the battery and rims are for you. Carbon fiber body panels would be helpful, but hugely expensive for our huge panels.

Honestly at the moment, we don't have many options for easy weight reduction. I'm sure some racing seats would make a pretty big improvement, I doubt our seats are light.

Unfortunately in such a small car, it's either engineered light or it's not, and ours wasn't. You could strip it down but it wouldn't be a very comfortable vehicle anymore. Our frame is very rigid and heavy and replacing body panels will only do so much.

If solo wants to weld up a titanium exhaust (very hard to weld), I bet it would be good for 15-20 lbs.

I've always looked at weight reduction as an all or nothing thing. If a mod you're planning on doing reduces weight, great, but unless you're going to go all out, weight reduction only mods seem a bit pointless to me.

Have you ever won a race a few thousandths?
I beat a girl by .009sec raw,
She got me by .025sec paxed,
My pax=.804
Hers=.803
Don't tell me 25# doesn't matter.
The difference in that competition could have easily been the difference in weight of drivers. -J

I never said the weight difference doesn't matter, I said that once you get past the most obvious weight reduction mods you have to start making sacrifices to continue making the car lighter. At this point I am asking myself if this is a car I wish to be comfortable in, or if this is a car I want all out performance from, because after a certain point you might as well go all in.

What I find interesting is when they start striping down the supercars, the price goes up. Watch the first 32 seconds of this:
