Wind and road noise

Is some wind and road noise from the lower rear corner or the top normal? I don't recall it when the car was new. The problem is I got it in june and we had mostly nice weather for a while so the top was almost always down. If its not normal I want it fixed. I am getting used to it but I fear leaks if its not normal.

....some wind noise is normal....is the top locked in right at the pillars?...also, are your windows aligning okay with the molding?...just a thought...

Yes. It sounds like its coming from where the rear of the top contacts the body. Mostly hear tire and engine noise from passing cars. Its no big deal if its normal.

Sorry i can't pull up the thread...but if you use "pillar" under Search....there is a great thread about wind noise/window alignment....look at "New Owners: Top Alignment" by XMicro.....quite a few owners have had this issue, myself included...it's an easy fix, if it's what's wrong....

I saw that thread. The square pins are in the proper holes. When I noticed the noise that was the first thing I checked. It may be normal. I think its time to test drive a new one to find out.

If all is aligned correctly, then I’d conjecture it’s “normal” – For I hear.. not what I’d call noise.. but passing cars and such and it appears to come from only the lower side “back behind my head” at times. My guess is it’s not as insulated there as is the top.
