Welcome to the forum!

I'm sure this information will interest many. You can post your instructions and diagrams here if you want. Right now, we're having some technical difficulties with the image attachment feature, but you can use image shack or photobucket and link the images into your posts.

Thanks for working out the details on this modification.

Thanks...

Appreciate the wiring diagram. As soon as the warm weather returns I plan to install our WR and install the dimmer controls.

I submitted the wire plan to Steven and he emailed me to say they have been looking for a simple way to explain this installation. Anyhow, since
tig welding is my main work, prints and plans are a way of life. I find we
do best with pictures since they reach our brain more directly than words.

Most of our members will be able to see that the dimmer, being connected
to both brake and running power supplys, gives one an ability to set the
intensity for both sources, and the on off switch; it allows you to turn it all
off when backing up in the dark.......how cool is that?.......Paul

Help! Which wires out of the bundle?

After reading all the instructions I could find regarding the windrestrictor for my Saturn Sky I became confused over which brown wire to splice into. Instructions from Windrestrictor are misleading. It indicates to find the main thick harness (found), slice the tape (done), locate the dark brown and the light blue wires (found), and then this is where I got lost. It talks about locating a very thick wire usually 10-12 inches carefully slice into the tape and find the thick rubber covered brown wires. I cannot find this wire. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sgarza.

Below is the instruction that have confused me:

B: Once bolt is removed you will be able to pull the carpet back to expose the main thick wire harness. Then slice the tape back about 2-3 inches and locate the dark brown and the light blue wires. You will need to feel with your fingers along the wiring harness to locate what feels like a very thick wire (usually about 10-12 inches) Carefully slice into the tape and find the thick black rubber covered brown wires. This is usually located back by the white tape.

sgarza when I wired in my WR I used the light blue wire ( it goes to the third brake light). Used a circut tester to find the right wire. BTW the brake light only come on with the egnition turnd on. Hope the pic below helps.
The red wire is from the WR. Also used the bolt in the background for the ground.
