Anyone have an idea were this can be done in Pa. Is this something perhaps the Saturn dealer will do?

See if this link works: http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3...gard-PPF/Home/
If not, Just google 3M Clear Bra and they have a link to help you find an installer. Good luck....

Not sure how good it is compared to 3M, but seems awful cheap!
I have the clear bra system on most my cars. They were quite expensive to put on so I tried the Ebay route. It doesnt fit worth anything. In fact, I bought it from that same vendor. I tried it on my black sky and its not very noticable at all. I was just dissappointed that the cut out (fitment) was WAY off. What a waste of money.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about going the ebay route. I will have to make up my mind if I am going to take the redline or stay with the base before I have a pro install the clear bra.

I had a 3M clear bar on my Black Sky but had it removed. I really liked the product but the dealer's installer could not get the job done right. Any blem in the darker cars will show - these were really bad. The cost of the product was $700 add on at the dealer and I got it at cost $420.

I allowed the dealer to have some wrinkles in the product corrected before I brought it home. When I picked the vehicle up the bad area was fixed but I did not check out the rest of the product on the car. When I was filling up the car, I noticed more areas that were bad. Took the car back again and they attempted to fix it again. When I got the car back the second time, I notice some small little lines under the clear armor bra - guess what they were? The installer cut the paint and since the bra was realigned from the first installed I noticed it. Furious I called the dealer back to inform them what had happened - cut paint in several locations on my emotional purchase.

I brought the car back in for a third time and the installer just happened to be at the dealership and he proceeded to down play the cuts. First the clear bra still had numerous defects on it and he stated to say that a dark colored car is hard to install on. Then belittles the cuts in the paint that why am I making a big deal about it - the car is going to get scratched anyhow. Controling my passion I proceeded to let him know that his opportunity to touch my baby did not exist anymore. Saturn had to repaint the whole front end of the car.

Now I don't have the bra anymore. The installer no longer does work for this Saturn dealer since I was told other vehicles were inspected after mine and had similar issues.

Lesson - dark colored cars will show the flaws much easier than lighter - get a good installer - it will make all of the difference for a $700 piece of plastic you should expect some type of perfection. I think the product is great but get the right person to do it with references.

I am having it done tomorrow by a guy who has done 5 other cars that family members have. It all comes down to the installer knowing what they are doing. If they are not a good installer dont let them touch your car. If he knows what he is doing you will be greatful for it, for years to come.

To be so cynical is a terrible thing. Just because it was my first post does not mean the post should be invalid. First you are correct it was the installer who caused the problem and if you took the time to really read the message - though a bit long - you will see that it was a warning on getting the right installer. My message clearly states in the last line "I think the product is great....." Yes it was a 3M product. Without giving the exact location of the dealer/installer - it was in Southern California. I have attached a few pictures below from a video I took of the damage hopefully they will show up.

One last time - I love the product - be careful who does it. You really need a qualified installer. Then again MAYBE I just like to PROVIDE some USEFUL information to someone else looking to get the product. God knows we can all tell someone's reason for any post and their intentions because they post many times in a forum. Then again I could have wasted several hours making these pictures just to scare someone.

Happy Holidays.

Additionally, you may notice areas where the film had to be stretched by the installer. However, you'll be hard pressed to notice the film exists on your vehicle, outside of an 8' radius. I have it on my black Grand Prix and it is very difficult to notice until I'm up close on the vehicle. As a matter of fact, I believe the Sky comes with a version of our film on the rear deck (the Solstice uses it). Many manufacturers put pieces of our film on thier cars. Most people don't even notice it. "

Kind of makes me want to get it. Although he did say it depends on what type of driving one does. Not my primary drive, but I did already replace the silver badge stip on the grill that got a chunk removed by a rock.
Those photos are (were) directly from lamin-x's site. I can't locate it anymore, but they had an animated gif image showing the exact vehicle/photos in progression. They're reformatted their website, and I can't locate it anymore.
