The Adventures Of Solguy Part III- Day People vs Night People.
Well, we last visited with Solguy and TMG (tattooed mermaid girl) as they were threatened by ferocious fire-breathing dragons in the Rocky Mountains. Luckily, Bob Guts, though a little overweight showed up in a blue spandex superhero outfit to save the day.
And so onward our duo traveled. They exchanged stories and discovered more and more about each other. Solguy for example, despite being a well liked guy, has his share of phobias. Though dogs are said to be man’s best friend, Solguy has more bite marks than a baitfish in a shark tank. TMG seems to have issues with seeing and eating meat that is not coated in breadcrumbs or deep fried. Further, crowds make her nervous- a touch of agoraphobia. So far, our solmates have been able to laugh at their foibles and continue to enjoy each other’s company. Their trip since the Rockies has been uneventful. TMG had spent some time looking for a new tattoo to go along with her seahorse. Having considered a butterfly and yin-yang tats, she finally settled on a pair of dolphins. ![]() ![]() ![]() They reminded her of some flipper friends she made when she was a fulltime mermaid. TMG had told Solguy that he would look hot with a tat. Solguy was tempted, having considered two patriotic tats: the American Flag and a red, white and blue eagle (look familiar?). However, he decided to wait and consider his options. Solguy usually was very conservative with his decision making process, some would say boringly so. ![]() ![]() ![]() As Solguy and TMG left Burger Blitz, they saw Three Feather and some friends in the parking lot staring at what looked like a mirror image of Three Feathers and his gang, except glowing a bit around the edges. It looked like a scene out of Seinfeld’s “Bizzaro World” where everything was reversed- right is left, left is right, etc. Heated words were being exchanged. ![]() ![]() Three feather told the opposing group to accept his kind (unlit, colored daylight screens) and let there be peace. The other Indian, whose name was Running Night Light (RNL), shot back that the day people had discriminated against the dark ones long enough. The plain screens had had enough; they were tired of being ignored and thought of as virtually invisible by the opposing group during the day and relegated to glow alone in color only at night. Ironically, as the sun was setting the color and glow of RNL increased. Simultaneously, Three Feather was growing darker and weaker. Solguy and TMG had found themselves in the middle of a potential gang war. What were they going to do? These guys seemed headed for an all out battle. The two decided to exit slowly, walking around an equipment storage building adjacent to the restaurant. Just as they reached an open yard on the opposite side, a feeling of relief was quickly replaced by one of uneasiness. Suddenly, a low level growling noise could be heard. One growl grew into two, then three, then too many to count. Solguy, whose faded bite marks reminded him all too well of his canine phobia, just about peed in his pants, when he spotted the group of wild wolves that had been rummaging through a restaurant garbage can. Their ferocious, blood-thirsty eyes turned towards Solguy and TMG. The old saying ….“out of the pot and into the kettle” comes to mind. ![]() ![]() What will become of our couple? Will Solguy wet his pants? If he does will his Depends undergarments save his pants and more importantly his pride? But why does a relatively young guy like Solguy wear Depends anyway? Is the excitement of driving his sweet ride too much for his bladder? And what about the Indian gangs? Which gang day or night tribe will prevail? Would TMG loose respect for a wet-pants Solguy? What about Solguy and a tattoo- will that happen? And the ultimate question we must always ask…….who cares? Tune in next time to find out! Special thanks to Danny A., Linda B., Tom G., Bridget S. and Fred A. for the use of their screens in our story.
