Does pre-flashed mean before it is flashed with your tune? In other words, the ECM costs $700 with no tune?

I'm a bit slow today and need it spelled out...

No, he means the whole thing is $700. (Martin sent me an email spelling it out for me, since I'm also a little slow. ) Here's what's included for the $700:

1) The new ECU (blank hardware)

2) A baseline flash (Think of this as the operating system or software starting point. Any tune needs this to start with. It's my understanding that nobody but GM can do this right now.)

3) An overlay flash (the tune) which adjusts selected baseline parameters.

Martin, please correct me if I'm wrong.

How much is it for just the tune to load through a HPtuner?

Do you sell HPtuners? If not, where is the cheapest place to get one?

Would it cost anymore to have the rev limit raised to 7k?

If we buy more mods later, how can we go about getting an updated tune?

You can send me a PM if you want, but I'd like to purchase the tune asap.

But an ECM swap means a trip to the dealer for a crank relearn (or something like that), right?

Anyone time you put in a new ECM it has to either be done at the dealer, somewhere with a Tech 2 tool, or by someone with a Dashhawk. The ECM has to "learn" the position of the crank.

So once this is done you can swap back and forth if needed?

2. The tune will work but it will not produce the output numbers because the tune does not affect the transmission. True or False

4. There will be no cost for the upgrade for the auto transmission (for those that purchased this tune already) when it is released. True or False
What he said!!!

Point blank I want to know if I can buy this tune and use it with my 3" Magnaflow, Fujita CAI, Auto tranny equipped 2008 RedLine with little or no trouble at all???

Also, once you release the TCM programming, would this be an extra charge or will it be provided to those who purchased the tune early for free???

Looks like you opened the flood gates with your announcement and i hope you can answer all of the posted questions directly and without being vague...

I think it's every time you swap. (even back to one that's been in the car.)

Actually this is not correct for the ECM in the Turbo (2.0L) ... It is correct for the base (2.4L).

Would it be correct to state that this tune only gives one in the area 263 whp and 289 torque to the wheels?

Also what additional mods are needed to get to this performance level?

Will a completely stock SKY RL make this power with just the tune?

I am just reading this thread for the first time, but based upon my discussions with Martin, I wanted to let folks know that the $300 price currently on the website is NOT for a custom tune and is just for the first ten members who help with the testing and analysis of this tune. I am sure that Martin will answer other questions, but I recommend that you only do this now if you are willing to be part of the testing and feedback process.

If you want more data on how the tune works with a variety of aftermarket products and configurations, you may need to wait a couple of days or even weeks. I know that most of the people Martin has been working with so far have purchased an extra ECM, so that they can easily swap this out, and while all of the data and experiences have been pretty impressive so far, if you are not an "early adopter" type, you probably want to wait a little while before doing this tune.

I can personally testify to this!

I purchased a blank ECM and sent it to Westers Garage and had it flashed with their tune. I installed it in my Redline (2.0) The 2.0 Redline DOES NOT require a crank relearn. It does require a security relearn but this is something you can do yourself just with your key!

The 2.4 does require a crank relearn. I was told the Bosh ECM in the Redline is self learning, while the 2.4 ECM is not!

So, how do you do the security relearn? Thanks ceeker!

Since mine is already on order, would have been nice if this was explained in the first part of this thread.
