We got the 8K's looks great with the bluestone. Remember the numbers aren't for the brightness but the color they burn.

Yea I meant color. The Kappasphere kit I have now is 6000k. I'm just wondering how big of a difference the 8000k would be. You can't really tell by a little picture.

Have had no issues with either. The day time running lights are no different now then before except they are way cooler. All my cop friends love them.

The pictures aren't the greatest but I took them during the install.
That picture must have been taken on day one of the nationals...I needed to get some sun on those legs..

The 6K Bulbs burn pure white where as the 8K's have a blue'ish tint to them.

Both look really cool, most people like the 8K's because they match a factory HID color.

Well, my bumper to bumper warranty will be shot tomorrow, so now it's mod time! I just sent money and will await email from you to figure out which lights I want.

For the record, at no point did I have to enter any login information before purchasing. It's not stored since this is a brand new computer and I've never been on the site with it before. If you're only selling this to members, you may want to look into that- I'd hate to see a situation where someone sends money before finding out that they'll need to cough up another $36.

Reed,

You'll notice that we only offer a handful of products for direct purchase off the GMR web site. Most of our participating Roadster Rewards vendors take order's directly and verify Member status before issuing R/R Discounts. We too verify Member Status before processing orders for the HID Kits.

Our new store front that we will be launching in the coming weeks will have the ability to recognize Members from Non-Members automatically and we will be filling the store with the products from our Supporting Vendors at discounts to our club members....

Thank you for the feed back

Martin

Yup. I just checked the box- I'd have been pretty pissed if it didn't!

Is there a way to use the little "running light" bulb (you know, the little 3rd bulb that is in the main headlight unit) as your DRL *INSTEAD* of using the low beam headlight? I would much rather do this, if possible. I don't like the idea of using the HIDs as DRLs, but I might be SOL!

Also.....I am old. I don't want Phat Blue lights. I want lights that are as bright pure WHITE as possible. Should I get the 6,000k bulbs? If I decide later I want the 8,000k, can I just buy the bulbs or does the ballast have to be changed???

for some reason our projectors have a very slight purple tint to them so if you get the 6000k you might see a slight purple but for the most part you cant see it and its really white.

The 5000k are the white ones 6k will give you a little blue color not much. And yes you can buy just the bulbs and switch them around.

Wow....Ok, so I could order the 5000k kit, and also order a set of 6000k bulbs? Then switch them out easily. So, how much does an extra set of bulbs cost????
