I would hope everyone here realizes the oil change thing was a scam and is far out dated. There was a test done on a 60 minutes or one of the other news shows like that like 10 years ago. They took some NYC cabs, changed the oil at 3k miles on half and like 10k miles on the other half. At like 100k miles they took the engines apart and found no significant difference in the state of the engines. I think this especially holds true with synthetic oils. I have used synthetic for years on all my cars. I change the filter at 5k miles and just top off the oil. Then change the oil and filter at 10k miles. I sold my '95 eclipse to my cousin when it had like 120k miles and when he took the engine apart to build it he found absolutely no wear in the cylinders.

Seems like the unqualified shops had a GM logo more often than not. The others listen to what I tell them from this forum's posts and advice.
