Hahn Turbo 2.0 Ecotec: 440 WHP, Pump Gas

This is our new record-holder for 2.0 Ecotec WHP on 93 Octane Pump Gas:

The car is a 2006 Cobalt SS, and we've taken off the very limited supercharger system in favor of something much more pleasing...a complete Hahn RaceCraft TurboSystem.

If you have the time, leaf through this most lengthy thread about the car:

Hahn Racecraft LSJ GT35R Turbo Project PICS RELEASED! - Cobalt SS Network

The car features our innovative PortFueler system along with a Garrett GT35R turbo. It handily doubles the power of the supercharged version. Of course, it's just a matter of time before an ambitious Sky RedLine owner steps up to the plate for a similar setup. If you are that person, delay no longer...give us a shout!

Wait until we put some octane in her and REALLY turn up the boost!

Does this graph show that the engine was pushed past redline to reach the numbers? Just curious.

No, this engine is set up for high RPM operation with larger cams, a large turbo, and a ported cylinder head. It redlines at 8100 RPM.

Pretty awesome work!!! So when can we expect Hahn to get a 2.0 Sky R L or GXP up to the 350 - 450 WHP range? I'd really love to see something other than an Intercooler or BSR tune for our beloved vehicles!

Stay tuned...news at 11!

As for something monstrous like this Cobalt...it's just a matter of time before someone steps up to the plate.

What do you mean steps up to the plate?

Are you offering a sponsorship for the design and implementation of the turbo kit? I would do it if that was the case.

I am a member of the American Allstars TeamAllstars.com - show cars, show motorcycles, show models we are a national team we basically cover the entire U.S. Most shows are on the West and East coast though.

Now, if we have to buy the kit and then experiment, while losing all warranty and possibly a motor while your company reaps the benefits then No.

Indeed...it's all up to the individual. In the case of this particular Cobalt, we provided engineering and componentry to achieve the owner's desired result. He's proud of the car, and allows us to reap the benefit of giving him considerable value for the money by encouraging us to tout the excellent results. A mutually beneficial relationship!

We are convinced it's just a matter of time before some Sky or Sol owner comes to us with similar aspirations. The Cobalts just enjoy a bit of a head start, for they've been in the market longer.

We bring to the table significant capability with these applications, so the aspect of risk and/or 'experimentation' is about as minimized as can be.

If you'd like to submit a proposal and/or a request for quote, please do so! We'd enjoy the opportunity to review your needs and determine whether a similarly beneficial relationship could emerge.
