New release: KSR Discs - Slotted Rotors from Kappasphere

We are proud to introduce new KSR Discs for the Pontiac Solstice and Saturn Sky! We have been working with our brake partner Girodisc for a nice set of slotted rotors for your roadster. We have a very successful line of Lotus rotors for our sister company, Sector111, and are transitioning these technologies (while keeping them affordable) to the kappa cars.

We have the KSR Discs in stock and ready to ship tomorrow. You can order just the fronts or rears, OR get the full set and save $50. At $299 for a full set, they are the same price as a set of OEM rotors. They are also zinc coated so they wont rust like your OEM rotors.

Here is some more info for you all:

Properly slotted for greater braking performance and sharp looks. Kappasphere is proud to introduce these properly engineered slotted rotors for your Solstice or Sky. Manufactured with high quality materials in an economical one-piece design. Don't fall victim to the cross-drilled myth. These are a Kappasphere exclusive.

Price is for all 4 rotors.

Slotted, not drilled
Allows hot gases to escape during hard braking.
Helps keep the rotors cooler and last longer.
Cooler rotors help prevent brake fade.
Slotting in conjunction with modern brake pad materials is more than adequate to release hot gases.

Why not cross-drilled?
Slotting keep rotors cooler and lasts longer then cross-drilling.
Proven on brake dynos around the world.
Cross drilling reduces the structural integrity of the rotor and each hole is an opportunity for cracks to form.

High carbon-iron rotor
Stable thermal properties.
Longer wear characteristics.
Zinc plated for corrosion resistance.

Model Compatibility
Sky and Redline
Solstice and GXP

In stock and ready to ship.

Cross compatability

Would these be compatable with aftermarket calipers and High performance pads? If so, I would be interested in a set!

Do your aftermarket calipers fit your stock rotors? if so you should be fine.

If you have a big brake kit with larger rotors and caliper, then these rotors will not fit your kit. If your brake kit utilizes the same size rotors as stock then there shouldnt be a problem. These are a direct OEM replacement. They will work with any OEM direct replacement performance brake pads like our Porterfields.

We have the AP calipers, brackets, pads - waiting on rotors and lines (maybe today, its gonna be a nasty kit!).

But no these rotors wont fit with our big brake kit. That kit will include larger 2-piece rotors.

Will this kit include calipers for the front and rear or only the front?

Kit will be for the fronts. Not many people do rear big brake kits because of e-brake related issues.

Just a question is what is the difference between KRS Rotors vs SP Performance Rotors?

Depends on which style of SP Performance Rotors your speaking of. There are many great solutions out there. We always try to bring out a solution that is specifically for your car. These rotors are made by the same manufacturer that does our 2 piece floating rotors for the Lotus applications.
