CEL codes and Hp gains?

What are Hp / torque gains with the Magnaflow 3"?

What percentage of users are throwing CEL codes?

Does Magnaflow know about them?

I don't have numbers from dyno, but I can say you can feel the difference. I am one of the people that was throwing codes. I am in the process of doing an rma threw magnaflo. and yes they know about this issue. I don't think they want it very public though. My thought is that they bell the ends to much so it is easy to put together and the flaired end of the exhaust that bolts up to the cat has scratches running from inside to outside on the flare. This is not very good for sealing purposes. the stock pipe does not have this they are smooth.

Hey, thanks for that. I would suspect a 5-10 Hp gain I think, as the RL catback system is pretty decent. One would warrant that even replacing the muffler alone would make a good upgrade, such as using a Ravin muffler.

Still, moving the O2 sensor might alleviate some problems, no?

Had my 3" system installed on 6/17 and have not had any codes and I definately can feel a difference even if its my imagination. It really "barks" now and I really love to go under overpasses now .

I have the "Solo" fast flow catalytic converter and 3" to 5" pipes with their fast flow exhaust. Sounds great and does not throw 'check engine' light. They relocated sensor postion and it is perfect.
