Base Suspension VS Redline

I was looking into purchasing the suspension off of the Redline for my base model sky, and was wondering what the differences were. My car is a 2007 if that makes a difference.

Larger sway bars and Billstein monotube shocks are the two major differences I can think of.

Yes to sway bars.

As for shocks, it's my understanding both models use the coilover Billsteins, but the RL has a customized "sports" (aka more stiff) tuning of the package. I'm sure there must be some suspension experts on these boards who can give more details.

Correction from above - SPRINGS. The FE3 suspension consists of firmer springs and sway bars (about 18-20% stiffer on all), and slightly different valving on the shocks. MUCH nicer handling AND ride than the FE2 as the car's body motions are controlled better. If you are considering BUYING all that stuff then do NOT waste your money on the Bilsteins and spend you money on single adjustable Konis. Also, ask around on this and the Solstice forums for "take off" bars and springs to save some money. If you getting all of this stuff for free - GREAT. Questions?

Change for the Bilstein of the red line is not a good idea, because they don't give a very good damper with rebounds.

I have a 2.4. I paid $400 for all 4 shocks with springs, $100 for the front and rear sway bars. $65 shipping $30 for the energy suspension bushings with zerk fittings. $175 installed at my local garage. Total was $770. Alot less than the Konis. But thats if your looking for a cheaper alternative. If your looking for a better performance alternative there are better choices. Since my shocks were spent the ride difference is tremendous.

How many miles were on your old shocks?
