Hiding scuff marks in chrome...

Has anyone ever tried to spray their chrome wheels with clear (similar to this product from Eastwood) to help hide fine scratches and scuff marks, or would I have to worry about it peeling later on?

That's a sealer to postpone oxidation of ally after polishing - I doubt it has any qualities that would conceal scratches.

I have to agree with Bill, that product is just a protectant for the Chrome wheels and would be no help with scratches. I would think they would have to buffed out (if that is possible).
