Chevrolet Stingray III

OK, I read all in the past about the Chevrolet Stingray being a hoax, I was in the Detroit airport today. I went into the "GM Collection" store. They have a 1/18 scale "Chevrolet Stingray III" diecast for sale. It looks very much like a KAPPA. No year listed. Did not say "concept" When I go back through Detroit, I will buy it and post pictures.

Makes you wonder................................

car looks like it was used as a starting point for the sky! that and the batmobile.

I agree it looks a lot like the Sky, but I have always felt that the Sky front end looks a lot like the 60's Stingray. I think that is why the Sky instantly appealed to me, that and the retro look of the double humps.

That car is from 1992, I have had a diecast of it for about 6 years. It was a Show car , I saw it in Charlotte NC about 7 years ago at the Autofair.

Yep, it's one of the "Corvettes" that gets pulled out every few years from the GM corporate garage in Warren, MI. Our Corvette club has an annual car show at the GM Tech Center and I can vouch for Skyman, it's a real car with a wheelbase of a C4 Corvette not the Kappa platform.
