Found this today really cool!

okay so as ya'll know the new concept cars and actually new production cars are slowly being released and somethings are pretty cool, i saw the most awsome design for the kappa platform yet and it is a SAAB!!! this thing just looks sweet but i do know it is highly highly unlikely to be created but i though ya'll might like to see it. i can't find a good downloadable pic so go to this link and look at the areo X i swear this is an awsome kappa car and needs to be talked about!

Crazy car - so the top comes off, but its not a convertible? I do like the blue hue to the lights and glass though.

I've been watching these for a while. Definitely my next car! I wonder what the wait will be like for these. Maybe I should get my deposit in today. These cars are SWEEET!

Don't get traped

The car looks good, but totally impractical. Saab will have fun trying to keep it from leaking in a rainstorm. The hydrolics to lift the entire top has to be heavy and cost a lot. Heaven help any one inside if the engine or battery dies. I don't think this concept will ever see the light of day.

It IS a nice concept but it will NEVER see production with that canopy setup. Gullwings, canopies, and most other door configurations like that are a no-no with the safety nazis. Too apt to pin people inside in a roll-over. The Lamborghini-style doors are even frowned upon by the safety folks. But on a Lamborghini its kind of a case of "if you can afford one who cares". Just my opinion I could be dead wrong but Mercedes even toyed with gullwings again back in the 80's and that model never saw US distribution for that reason.
