]2016 update: Just turned over 30k in the SKY this past weekend. Nice cruise of 300 miles. Holding up well. 24.8 mpg to 28 mpg hwy. New tires for it soon. Gas prices are low right now. Good for the SKY and me. Warmer weather approaching here soon. Time for the top to come down!

Hoping to take a run down to the ocean later this summer. Across the state run. Camera's running from the mountains, across the Bay Bridge to the eastern shore. Happy hour at the beach, I can work with that.

Just to think, a few weeks ago my SKY was buried up to the mirrors. Not good. Have to add that one photo album. There will be no flying today!

I will do another update later this year, around the Fenwick Island Run. 400 plus miles, few photos, and a personal log of the trip. Few things about how the car did, my impressions of the run. If it is anything like the DCL Run in Sept. 2015, I am already looking forward to it. Later gang. Thanks.

Just posted this today. A few photos 4 (data limit storage). Shot some great in car camera stuff from the GO PRO too. Hand held video cam too. 50 video's give or take.

Great 4 day run. 332 miles. Found some great roads, with lots of twisty stuff for those of you who are interested in them? Been a long time since I have visited.Forgot how nice it was, MD's jewel in the mountain's, not so secret anymore. Unreal homes, waterfront & mountain top, just real nice cruzin around the lake.

1 year update. My how time fly's when your having fun. It's been a year now, since I bought my SKY. Mileage is just over 22,000. Mpg is averaging about 24.8 in mostly city driving. Problems that I have had, outside of the recall, have been minor. A new chip in the paint. New chip in the windshield. Trunk hinge support bracket for the torsion bar, has broken. Car has been serviced and running great. Still grab's people's attention wherever I go with it. Do I still have the perm-a-grin? Plastered all over my face! Complaints? Yeah some but they are very minor. Was it worth it? You bet.

Been almost a month now. Here is the lastest. Went for a great weekend cruise this past weekend. 337 miles. First real long cruise in the RL. Everything you can imagine, except snow. Car did well, mpg is still going up 27.8 so far. Spent about $60 in gas, still have some left, and that is good with these prices. Jeez give us a break. Minor annoying stuff still on the list to do, but over all it is everything I had hoped for when I bought the SKY. What a fun drive that was. My daughter's wedding wasn't too bad either.

10 day update: First impressions, over all satisfaction beyond expectations. Works for me. No real problems so far. Went for first real cruise with top down on a great "cool" evening run through the mountains around here. I still have the permagrin on my face from last night on my face this morning.

    New Member 7/19/13

Hello to the Community of Sky Owners. Well gang I took the plunge, hook line and sinker. Bought my 2008 Sky RL on 7/17/13. I have followed the forum for about a year, while searching for my Sky. Learned a lot. Love the car. The passion and fun of driving has returned for me with this car. I look forward to all of the members out there, for their support, knowledge, tech savy, and general BS, that will help guide me thru the early stages of ownership. Now to Sky stats of what I have just bought:

    2008 Sky RL
    Midnight Blue w/ Tan top
    Auto
    17,307 Miles
    Leather two tone Interior
    Monsoon Stereo
    Wind Restrictor- Clear
    Spoiler
    18" Chrome Rims

I will post some pictures in the near future, once I get bugs worked out for me doing that.
