No worries, TS - we are just trying to see what the evidence shows - wish I could find my book. The TR3 had a chrome surround and the MGB had a brushed aluminum surround. In general, the separate windscreen surround in metal predates the models that began in the early 1960s except for the MGB convert (the GT version had a painted surround). What we need is a statement of intention for the designers as to what they were shooting for.

See the article from Car & Driver at https://www.caranddriver.com/feature...apers-feature/

('Kappa Kapers'? Really? Where did they pick up their title writers, third rate shopping rags....) Interesting article - bear in mind it is from 2004 before the final spec had been established. Guess they decided later that they preferred the metal frame look.

She has always been the one that everyone remembers even though she came late to the series (4th series). Before that, that is, before the show started to be shown in North America, there was Honor Blackman

Speaking of car related series, does anyone recall The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan? That series brought the Lotus 7 to the attention of North Americans like The Saint with Roger Moore brought Volvo P1800s (which at the time were built in Britain by Jensens). Has anyone got a vanity plate with "ST1" on it like the Volvo had? Guess that might work better for a Solstice....

WHAT? I didn't hear. Damn, that's sad.

I notice his car was a "E" registration. My first car was an "F" reg, one year younger (1968). Interesting.
