I just picked up an 09 Hydro Blue w/ a 2.4 in it. It's a manual shift. Love the color w/ the silver stripe on it. It's not a turbo but prev owner said it's a redline. has alum rocker plates and all else but no turbo. I researched and it was listed as one of only 12 built this way. Any iput would be appreciated.
Hi bluejackola! Welcome to the forum.
If it does not have a turbo, it is most likely not a Red Line.
The Red Line designation was for those vehicles with the LNF 2.0 L turbo charged engine. The eighth digit in the VIN
number of a real Red Line is "X"
. A "B" in the eighth digit means 2.4 L
, and the car has simply been re-badged by a previous owner, with external and internal trim pieces added or replaced.
Here's a great post from our forum showing the VIN digits and their meanings:
Also, the quickest way to spot a Red Line vs a naturally aspirated 2.4 L car is the external appearance two primary differences:

- Red Line has a dual exhaust exit with one exhaust on each side of the lower real valance where the 2.4 L Naturally aspirated has a single exhaust on the passenger side.
This is the rear of the standard 2.4 L:

Keep in mind too, that many owners of the regular cars have re-fitted them with dual exhaust outlets, so dual exhaust outlets is not conclusive.
- The 2.4 L naturally aspirated model has a horizontal divider through the air intakes immediately inboard of the fog lights.

None of that really matters, though, because you are enjoying the vehicle. You're in for miles and miles of smiles.
