Newbie from the Netherlands, Opel GT

Hi,

My name is Colin, 45 years young and father of 2 sons.
I live in the Netherlands just near Amsterdam.
I have been a car enthousiast since my childhood
I love working on my cars, service and mods.

A few weeks ago i sold my Lotus elise s1, with honda k20 engine with rotrex compressor.
I wanted some thing more comfortable so bought an Opel GT as replacement.
I bought this car in Germany because off the color, overhere most of these cars are black.
Damast silver was the color for me to have ...
The car came with modified chip, and 20 inch tomason tn4 wheels.
I already bought an exhuast system and replaced some plastic dash parts which where scratched.
Also swapped my tailights for the Redline units.

My Daily's are Volvo v60 andvolvo c30 ...
Cars/projects in the past , Lotus elise's S1, alfa gtv cup, alfa 156 gta, mini r53 cooper s, Subaru wrx uzw ...
And some bikes as well ...

Hai Colin, you here too? Welcome to this informative forum. In the meantime, have you made your choices at DDM Works

You have a nice GT.

See you soon.

I wonder if he meant he swapped the headlights instead of the tail lights...only because he mentioned the R/L...Gts did not come with the blackened headlamps...

Welcome to our newest member here on the forum from across the pond...
Opel GT.. the euro version of the Kappa. Nice to see the unique car getting it's usage with all the BMW/MB/Audi pack..

alfa gtv cup, alfa 156 gta … interesting. Watched a few car shows in my day... always entertaining to watch the mechanic get
frustrated when working on an Alfa.. damn Italians and their designs, drops tools... walks away from project car problems.

This forum and our brothers on the Solstice site, are the place to be, for information concerning the Kappa here in the States and for
our cousins driving the Opel GT in the old country.

Father of two... Hey Dad.. can we take the Vert out now? Only IF your a good boy, mind your mother and me.. I will consider your request my son.
BUT... you're gonna have to bribe ole dad some more here, butter me up really good like... Father's Day is coming up my son.. just sayin.

Luck with the Miles of Smiles for you and yours.

LAC

Well somehow we missed his first post.

Welcome sir!!

If you still visit the site I have question for you. I have rebadged my Redline. I would like to know what is on the hood insulator/cloth piece to keep heat away from the bottom of the hood. Large gray or black piece. What does it say on the piece. Opel, GT or is it blank. I am hoping for blank. One major thing I would like to correct on mine if necessary.
