Vette vs Vette (ZR1 - C6.R)

April issue of Road and Track has a good write up on the current Vette lineup. Here's a drag race between the 638HP ZR1 and the 500HP C6.R. A 138 HP advantage is a lot. But drop 700lb, install a $70,000 gear box (well, it's more than a box.....just listen to it!!!!), and slap on some slicks.....

And if you want a more indepth analysis of the package:

one other difference from the race car to the road car.

The road car is probably less than 1/5 the price of the race car

Can't wait to see the race vette later this week at Sebring. They will be having test drives with GS vette but not the ZR1

The GS is in the sweet spot. I always liked the stance of the Z06, and the GS has a lot of the look, but for a lot less $$$. I like the gills too....and only the GS wears 'em.
