I have been talking with a reporter who covered the ignition switch recall heavily back in 2014 and is wanting to do a story on our PPS mat recall because, as he put it "it's interesting GM and NHTSA both missed discovering this on their own." He would like to talk to anyone who played a big roll in this recall as well as anyone who had the mat fail and was upset GM wasn't recalling the part.
, without you tearing apart that mat and finding the problem...trying to fix it...I think you are one who should talk to him if you want to get involved.
, seeing all the work you put forth to build a spoof device because of GM's lack of effort, I think you'd be good for him to talk to as well.
, you helped get the production numbers and he may want to talk to you as to what motivated you in helping out too.
I may be missing others who helped but feel free to contact me if you would like me to forward your information.
I know there have been tons of people who have had this issue and were upset about GM not doing what was right and issuing the recall. He wants to talk to some of you too.
If you are willing to talk to him, DO NOT POST YOUR CONTACT INFO IN THIS THREAD. Send me a private message with the information (Name, Phone, and/or email) and I will forward it to him. You can leave a note here letting me know you sent me a message if you wish.
For those not wanting to be interviewed, I totally understand. Not everyone wants to "get involved". LOL
