T- a friend of mine told me this weekend she finally realized that she doesn't need a man to be happy. Me, I once thought that when I found love I'd find direction- that was depressing when I found it was not the case.

Find your center, dear. Find happiness in yourself, your car and you friends and when you find a man, you can be happy with him too, but don't lose your grounding to what makes you happy.

It's 9:30!

Seriously though OP, you are a girl, so this is 1000X easier than being a guy.

Do the following:

1.) Go outside and do things. Don't always have an entourage of women friends either, that way you will have a chance of being approached. Most guys will be hella intimidated to say hi if you have 4 friends at a club. However, if you have one or two, it could happen if the dude has A LOT of confidence.

2.) Try online dating sites, some laugh at this, but it is legit. I've dated girls a couple times from it.

3.) Are you a "looker" aka hot? If so, don't be afraid to show the goods...you don't have to be dressing like a Hooters girl, but if you got killer legs or a nice torso, wear form fitting clothes. When a dude looks over, say hi and I guarantee a 95% chance of that being enough to start a conversation. Most guys dream of the girl actually breaking the ice first.

I just find it hard in today's world a chick cannot find a dude. I really can't fathom it. And before I read: "I only attract a-holes/losers." It isn't you attract them, it is you choose to have them in your life. I've date a-hole women and loser women because I CHOSE to. At the time I thought it wasn't true, but after reflecting on my past, it definitely boils down to me letting them be in my life.

While, I don't know you very well (went to the Rock N' roll HOF together), its well enough to know that you're an outgoing individual, so meeting people won't be hard for you.

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and hop right back on....(okay, you know what I'm trying to say)

And, while heartache is never fun we've all been there at one time or another and you'll get through it.

Enjoy your friends and keep yourself busy and soon enough you'll find yourself in a better place.
