DIY Thread?

I've seen a lot of members tackle projects such as painting brakes to changing oil with several pictures. Thoughts on creating a Do It Yourself Thread where members post intake, lighting, audio installs for other members to gain confidence and tackle projects themselves.

A forum section would be better. One thread with multiple projects would be a bitch to search through.

peace out.

Most DIY posts are in stickys. They can be easily found in the forum section at the beginning of each section. All you have to do is know what you are looking for to do on your cars.....Skip.....

What about if you don't know what you want to do, but want to know what others are doing/have done so you can get some ideas. Lots of car forums (owned by AutoGuide) have a repository so that all the DIYs and HOW-TO threads and be organized in once place, like the sample below.

It also makes searching easier, because you can search just the DIY sub-forum, rather than the entire forum for 8 pages of nonsense you don't need because someone errantly mentioned "diy" in their post.

A search of the term "DIY" returns this: DIY search

Sure, the saggy seat fix, homelink in the visor, modifying the driver's visor to the passenger side, dash removal and more might eventually be found if you pore over the forum; but it seems like we have a lot of talented people here doing really impressive work, and it's scattered about.

So in other words you want it all handed to you like Clift notes?...It is easier to read and read more. Then you can learn to scan the pages faster.....Skip....

That's what I was aiming for. I should of stated "section" instead of "thread". As a new owner I have no idea what secret DIY modifications or maintenance tricks have been performed in the past. I am in no way too "lazy" to search. Just a simple outside perspective on someone joining up and trying to add some thoughts/feedback..... not seeking some wise off replies from a know it all vet .
