To play music from your android through your car's speakers? When I drive the freeways out here I have waze running and I also want to hear music off my phone or Pandora. Just curious how well these little babies work.

I use to use an Aux cable to do that on my old Sky with the stock radio. I assume this is Bluetooth? That would be cool. Let us know what you find out Taz...I've never seen something like this.

Yes, it's BT enabled. I, too, have been using a cable for several years, but like an old hooker, my hole's wearing out. So I did order one, arrives tomorrow... gotta love Amazon Prime's 2nd day delivery.

That reminds me, I'm going to be out your way tomorrow at my mom's place. Helping her with some things around the house. Will be anxious to hear how that works for you!

...yup, then Robo chiming to say he'll be at his Mom's....

More on topic: My "hole" is "normal": as is my Mom (insomuch as she can be). I'm using the pictured setup until I'm not too cheap to just spring for a touchscreen head-unit. I like this setup because I just leave the old phone in the car, and I can reach the touchscreen perfectly with my hand on the shifter. I find it minimizes distraction. I've downloaded a gesture-based music player app, but I haven't really used it yet. I also downloaded a big LED clock app that allows me to see the time in full sunlight. The looks of this are not as clean as I'd like them to be, but they will work for now. A setup like you've ordered from Amazon would help a great deal to clean it up, and I like that it looks like you could control pause/play/adv track. It would allow me to put the phone out of sight though. Now I'm thinking I NEED one of these....

Is anyone using one of these?-now.jpg

This Sky's not perfect, but it's perfect...for me

I'll try it out either tomorrow, if it's delivered early enough, and let y'all know how well, or poorly, it works, if not Sunday for sure.

I have a a new stereo in the car that will use USB sticks as shown in the photo. Currently I have a 32 gig stick and trust me at 32 gigs you will never get to the end of your music. Just another option as well as another opinion.....

Unfortunately I have an OE 2008 stereo that came with the aux only, no USB, I think that was a 2009 option. So this is it unless I stick with the aux cable that has been wearing out the hooker's hole
