bluestone copart impossible to fix?

Since those rear quarter panels are bonded on the frame...

And since no passenger-side quarter panels are available anywhere online.

Would you say this bluestone is impossible to fix?

84K miles.

Eh. I recall you guys said swapping the engine into a 2.4L - and the wiring - is too much work to be practical too - right?

Worth it to fix? Probably not.

Fixable... sure, you can buy a rear quarter cut off of ebay. Example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Passenger-R...0AAOSwY7lcbtWh

Swapping the engine into a 2.4 car is no problem as long as you take the 2.0 fuse block, ECM, BCM ( and TCM if an auto) Your mileage on the 2.4 car will read what the 2.0 car reads as that is stored in the BCM. You would also want to replace the dash cluster head to complete the swap. All of the wiring is plug in modules in the fuse block, the complete harness is easy to switch. I would not bother changing the rear gears as you would most likely not notice the difference.

@skersfan look, you could get this and have a REDLINE instead of the base model!!!

(skersfan has TWO Bluestone Skys with the tan top already that he is combining into one good car...)

V.A.L. (#1108)
2007 2.4 Base
MagnaFlow dual outlet, quad tip exhaust test car
**Sold**

Max (#1547)
2007 TURBO 2.4
Too much to list here. See my Garage for details.

It would be a nightmare getting it smogged in California. You would have to get the VIN number changed on the original vehicle to the one you are putting in. Don't even consider it Emmett.

Buy the Redline, you will like it much better once you drive. It can be fixed, then take your parts off the NA and fix up the Redline.

Pouring more money into the NA is really not a great idea in my mind. Will never be worth more than it is stock. I doubt either of them will be to be honest. But the smog issue you would be opening yourself to would drive you nuts. Of course you might be able to get it licensed in another state.

You would have all the parts, but a lot of work to switch it over. Your mechanic in the past has seemed quite expensive to me. Doing a job like this would be monumental. All the ABS stuff and traction control would have to be switched I think.

Buy the car and fix it up. But be sure you go look at it first. They try to hide everything in their pictures, trust me on that.
