Customized Painted 2.4L Headlamps

Not for the faint hearted! I got the idea looking at the Redline headlights and thought, “I’ll just paint mine black”. Upon closer inspection, the Sky’s headlights have a really cool design with a lot of great detail that disappears when they are all black. I decided to tape off my lights and paint them to accentuate these details. Cracking open your headlights requires heating them up to 240 degrees in your oven, and taping them off without removing the chrome was challenging as well. I touched up a spot or two with a chrome paint pen. The final results exceeded my expectations. Here’s some pics taken during the project:

Those look good. I'd like to see a photo from a bit further away though to see how it all ties in together. I did something similar with my Sky but I painted the buckets midnight blue to match the rest of the car.
