After years of being on the sidelines and watching these awesome vehicles pass me by, i finally bought one... i think for a pretty good deal. She is a 2007 2.4l and has just over 16 thousand miles on it. Mint condition, completely stock, never seen the rain or snow. I am scared to drive it. Thanks for these forums, ive been reading them for a long long time (prior to owning a car), and they help make buying such a car by knowing if there are problems someone will be able to help. I would have to search for the posts about the issue with your console cup holder (apparent problem from your third photo), but I'll let you do/learn how the search goes (in case you don't already know). There is a lot of info on getting the pushed in cup holder out, and potentially getting 3D printed repair parts for some issues. Good luck, and I hope you can get it fixed at minimal expense.

Thanks, it seems to work fine, but i know these things are fragile. I dont plan on using it. Anyone recommend a ODB2 reader... something not crazy expensive, maybe compatible with iOS/iphone??

With 16K...u basically got a new car. Let me spend your money...first thing, get rid of the stock antenna. Anything but that. Opel antenna works well.

I have a 2009 redline silver pearl with under 3,400 miles so I guess it may qualify as almost new also. Been thinking about selling it but still on fence.

If you are going to replace the cup holder I would go with SANTANA and spend the extra money

It looks great! Congrats!

You might be new to Sky and while you'll appreciate the only 16K miles - what I like most is the condition of the convertible top.

I like the custom interior package.

Your car is like the one in the Sky brochure.

I agree with Mike - it' like you got a new car.

As far as the cup holder is concerned - if yours works don't rush to get a Santana.

The Santana is more solid and looks nicer (it's solid aluminum) but the size of the cups it holds is smaller.

Just don't put real large drink in it and then slam on the brakes. Cause it will fail.

When you polish the radio and plastic chrome be gentle. Don't take it to a local car cleaning place where they use rags and elbow work.

I agree with Mike - also - that the Opel antenna looks nicer (works better too)

So if im reading this VIN right, from what i read in the forums.... the last 6 digits in my VIN is 101285.... does that mean it was just the 1285th sky made? It has no interior door locks, so from what i understand that woyld be an early 2007.

Scared to drive it? No it is meant to be driven, it's a roadster begging to be driven on the twisty's sections of asphalt roadways.

Yes many owners here will help you out if you have a problem. You can find many answers in current and past threads here. "Search for feature" does work well, along with You-Tube videos, for DIY fixes.

Lastly will be the forthcoming attention factor for you. Be prepared for it, IT will happen trust me here. I just experienced it big time, on my most recent trip
" Run to the Shore " just last week. Not one Kappa anywhere at the beach. Had the place all to myself, the stares at stop lights, finger pointing, comments, thumbs up, head nodding approval.... What is that? Almost gives you goose bumps... plus the travel to and from the beach on the hwy, people will slow down to take a long look. Careful now as the distraction of the masses when viewing the Kappa, can cause accidents. They will not see your car sometimes as it does sitting lower than some side mirrors on big ole SUV when traveling out and about.
