I bought a Weathershield car cover. It came with a plastic grommet to place where the radio antenna goes. It is very easy to do and actually makes putting the cover on easier. The little antenna in the rear does not matter.

Your car was built....and this is an estimate Feb-March 2006. You do not have door locks and many other features which was installed after June 2006. Your Vin # is a true Vin# for the Sky..and as u noted it was a 1285
build.

Production of our cars began in Dec 2005....sold to the public beginning Jan 1,2006 as a 2007. Your car is missing drivers side electric seat and door locks. It also is missing the program that permits On Star and Bluetooth compatibility. Inorder for u to have bluetooth, u will need to switch your VCIM...but that is for another thread. Your ragtop is original which is inferior to Phase 2....the original had a flaw design which poked a hole in your driver's side lining. There are several recalls on your car. When u bring it in to a GM dealership, have them look up what u need.

For what it's worth, reading between the lines, your car was built on 4/4/2006.

Hey Dave...I have Vin#1414 and on my door is only 04/06. Seems reasonable.

How about 4/7/2006?

7Y101414
2007 Saturn Sky
Build date: 4/7/2006

(This was from the list of all US Kappas, in GM's response to the NHTSA with regard to the PPS recall, the raw data was on the NHTSA web site for a while during the early part of the recall procedures.)

Just in the right place, at the right time, to pick up some basic data on ~91,000 Kappas sold in the US.

Your GM Service department has a lot more info online on every GM car.

Thanks for these forums, ive been reading them for a long long time (prior to owning a car), and they help make buying such a car by knowing if there are problems someone will be able to help. Cheers

Your car was built right between my two...101108 and 101547...and yes, that's a very early 2007. You probably have no door locks, no power door lock switch, and a few other early 2007 things.

V.A.L. (#1108)
2007 2.4 Base
MagnaFlow dual outlet, quad tip exhaust test car
**Sold**

Max (#1547)

Too much to list here. See my Garage for details.

It is my belief that the early Silver Pearls,,,yours being in this group (Skygazer), our Silver is lighter in shade/color than the cars produced after June 06. No way to prove this but since I have viewed many in the sunlight, mine especially was lighter...although the paint codes are identical.
