'People' aren't particularly bright about what cars might be (or anything else, in a lot of cases). I've had many people come up to me at car shows to ask what my car is (the two most common because they are the least well known are TVR and Jensen) and when I tell them it is a TVR (or Jensen as the case may be) they continue with "Who makes it?"
I tell them TVR (or Jensen) but am always fighting an almost irresistible urge to preface that by "Well duh!"....
I'll bet that many people seeing that rolling abortion of a Saturn will honestly think it is a Ferrari.
I drove a Fiero for 20 years and when I was at an all makes cars show with one of my British cars a guy went by, commented on my car, and I asked him what he had brought and he responded 'a Countach' As I owned an even older Lamborghini at the time I asked him to show it to me. When we got there, I just turned and walked away. The Fiero seats and interior were a pretty good indication that his Countach wasn't real.... but he certainly seemed to think of it as a real Lambo and I bet the seller of the yellow abortion probably refers to it as his Ferrari....
