Large coolant leak

Came out of a restaurant to find a large pool of coolant coming from what appeared to be under the radiator. The pool extended from there to about three feet from the left side of the car. The parking lot sloped that way so completely understandable. Went to auto zone and put water into the empty reservoir. Watched underneath but did not see any leakage. Drove about 15 or so miles home and the low coolant warning did not come back on. Anyone been thru this?

Welcome to the world of the bad waterpump. $1500 at the dealer!! Don't think the leak has gone away....next is a catastrophic failure and you sit on the side of the road....How many miles on it? Redline or NA? This is a very common issue...just do some research on the waterpump in the upper right corner search bar.....

Garage
Yea, sounds like a waterpump issue and as The_Ghost said, not a cheap fix. Good news is it seems that once you replace it, the chances of it happening again are greatly reduced.
