Huff, I just use a doubled folded beach towel providing cover from dust and protection of the top canvas. Then I add the Folger lids to spread the force of the rubber bumpers.
Fans of opening the trunk and hood at car shows use the blankets like yours. IMO the car's superior lines are much more interesting to those interested in the Kappas. For that reason, I never open the trunk or the hood at car shows. A Kappa blanket would just take up needed trunk space that my wife needs dearly. Heck, everyone knows the car has an engine and mine is strictly stock, nothing to see. Plus I have several laminated sheets I place under the wipers on the windshield that has Kappa information, etc.. A hood up would block those sheets.
When showing our Coupe (again no hood up), a lot of people have told us they like the Coupe with the Targa top left on the car. Even in the Phoenix Valley half of the people who stop and comment on the Coupe say they have never seen one, nor even knew one was made. Some suggest/ask if it is a one-off.
