My Xm fin delete!

So I removed the nasty XM radio Fin, (who pays for that crap) and I looked around. For a lot of options to cover the holes with out spending a ton of money for painting, plus my paint is perfect already. I went down to auto store picked up a couple of those interior plastic molding snaps, found the perfect sizes for the two holes (5/8) (1/8) took some left over gum polar white paint and primer and clear coat, took my time sanded the plastic cleaned it primed, painted, and added about 6 coats of clear. Wet sanded and compounded and polished, now once the rains stops install on the car, should blend perfect and not even be noticed unless super close up. What do you think? My Xm fin delete!-4ff70fc8-f893-4d34-a439-edf9ae5ab300.jpg My Xm fin delete!-e2512c76-56f3-425d-a533-da71b0fd0b27.jpg My Xm fin delete!-11a04eaa-8678-400f-96f1-56e0bf5e59dc.jpg My Xm fin delete!-54ad8ca1-e8f6-4a6c-bcec-1c989924c115.jpg My Xm fin delete!-fb7c3e91-007a-4d48-a20b-92420735a086.jpg

Looks good! Great option, plus you can include the antenna (if you ever sell it) in case the next owners wants OnStar/XM

Has anyone seen pictures of where the guts are replaced with a GPS antenna? Sorry for drifting off topic a bit.

I always thought it would look cool to change it with a color coordinated "Shark Fin" style antenna...

No need to replace it, itís a hard plastic, can easily be sanded primed and painted to match the car! Good idea!

NO but my antenna was onstar only so I gutted it and put my XM antenna in it. Works great.
