I guess I have had my dash apart so many times I didn't give it a second thought about tackling this job. Also having the pre-made harness made the job pretty easy. When you look at some of the work other members on this forum have tackled, I couldn't imagine not at least trying to do somethings on my own. Don't get me wrong, I'm not about to rip and engine out but with so many helpful and knowledgeable members here, I at least feel comfortable doing the smaller projects on my own with their assistance.

It will save you a bunch of time and makes the install basically plug & play. The steering wheel control adapter took a bit of time to understand and program, but after several attempts it recognized the radio and everything works great including the chimes.
That looks like the JVC I'm planning to install in mine. Can you list the part #'s for the harnesses, and adapters that you purchased for this project?

The radio is JVC-KW-R930BTS, Metra Antenna adapter 40-CR10, Metra Dash mount kit 95-3302, Axxess ASWC-1 Steering Wheel Control Adapter, Axxess GMOS-LAN-04 Wiring interface and I also purchased the Crutchfield Ready Harness Service. It basically makes the swap plug & play and saves you tons of time. The price of the harness service is $25.

I used the same harness and adapters. This harness doesnít support SiriusXM, if your interested in keeping it.

Works perfectly.

I'm already paying for 1 subscription in my Infiniti so I doubt if I would ever use the Sirius XM in this car. But thanks for the heads up.

Can the wires just be spliced together to keep the installed Sirius equipment, or is it more involved than just a connector?

Assuming the radio is capable of working with the XM receiver, you could do it with a different harness or with an addition to that one.

If your using the Axxess interfaces, itís a completely different harness.

Google axxesinterfaces. You can enter the car and year and it will bring up the options. I recall it was gmlan11

A few years back I was looking for an answer to a bezel-less looking install and this was the best option I found at the time which also functions as a full android headunit with gps, radio etc. Still requires the bezel to hold the internal single or double din size but the screen extends just a bit past the flush surface that it completely covers the bezel and goes with the flow and colors of the surrounding parts. Being adjustable to move to a precise position was a bonus also.

Oh that does look nice. I just like the fullness of the screen. As for the bezel, find a good painter. Skersfan recommended one that did his and the pricing was reasonable.

Yes, but not from the factory. The NA has had them for several years, the RL is getting them now.
