New Windrestrictor

I finally made the addition to my ride. Kudos to the staff at Windrestrictor they did great work. The version 2 was super easy to install.

Is there a way to install it and have the velcro be discret or not noticeable?

I look to get a wind deflector
But the ideal to drill hole is not an option for me, and the one who can be installed between the trunk lid and the tulip might dommage the trunk gasket at my humble opinion.

So I guess from what I can find so far the velcro option is my last option, bin just afraid to see velcro every where.

I have the velcro Windrestrictor. The velcro application is just behind the headrest of each seat back. Seats are usually somewhat in a back position, so no velcro is seen, IMO. There is no interference with the tulip and the trunk lid, as the Windrestrictor is forward of that point. The real benefit of Version 2 is the top can go up or down and never effect the Windrestrictor or any need to ever remove it. That was the reason I chose V2. It has been in the same place for 3 years.

How long before there's one of these that has an image that can be animated?

Soso... 44th is correct. The windrestrictor is designed with a silver strip in front of the Velcro patches so you don't see them from the front. The only thing that shows a little is the LED light strip. I found that to get the lights directly under the restrictor the front edge of the strip is showing, but I'm fine with that.

Exposted, I'm no expert on the animated designs but you could ask the experts at www.windrestrictor.com .

Quick question
The light version
Does the wiring is easy connect?
Do we need to select a color before ordering? Or it color change capable?
Is that always On? I guess during day time it's not noticeable right?

Thanks again

I'd suggest looking at the Windrestrictor website. You'll see all the options, including lighting, power control, wiring and so forth.

I designed one with a flying dragon but my wife nixed it. Basically it used multiple images of a dragon with the wings flapping. they moved from right to left. The LED lights were designed to illuminate right to left so it made the dragon appear to be flying right to left. Had the design to Stephan but then the wife found out and it was dead.

There are many options. The WR comes built with a machined slot on the bottom edge that mates with an LED strip. You can purchase the LED strip from WR or supply your own. I have done both. I am now using two 12 inch animated LED strips that make my WR appear to be flaming.

WR also offers several options for lighting. One is a remote control box with color changing and patterns. You can wire it to work with the lights and brakes or always on, or you can put in a manual switch and turn it on when you want it to show.

The WR wiring solution ties into the wire bundle inside the right side of the trunk. You pull the trunk liner to the inside and you can access this bundle and connect to the tail light wire or brake wire or both depending on the option you choose. Then you ground to a convenient lug on the forward wall of the trunk as indicated in the directions.

I have 5 WRs and swap them out depending on the intended use. The more elaborate the design on the Lexan, the greater the potential for distraction from normal mirror use. I find that raising the mirror to the highest point of travel and continued use makes the WR design disappear.

It is not recommended that you use BLUE lights while driving at night. Local emergency responders have had a bad reaction to that color.

The engraved WR with lights is a lot of fun and an opportunity to customize your car in a very impactful manner. I highly recommend it.
