Can't get over how nice this looks... but something seemed out of place to me, then I realized it's gills. The two fake chromed gills on either side of the ram air scoop. Can these be deleted along with the center spear?

I like it without the center rib and without the fake side vents.

Yeah. me too, and Norm can easily delete the centre rib, but don't the fake vents sit in a depression in the hood? If not (I've never seen a 'naked' Sky) then they can easily be deleted. Maybe someone skilled at Photoshop could offer a version with those elements deleted so we could compare?

hello, thankyou for the nice comments. Deleting the center spear is easy, the side Factory stock vents we can do to, though it would require some additional body work.

I won't say I'm skilled at it, but if you don't look too close this may give you a reasonable idea about how it would look.

Norm, could you make the hood more like the 67 Vette hood, with the intake farther up the hood? And a little wider in front. Just asking, I would have serious interest in something like that. More against the lines so to speak, with the entry at the crest of the fenders if that makes sense? No side vents looks better to me to.

Bob, is this what you might be thinking it would look like?

Yes sir, I had a new 67 427/435HP Coupe. It was one of my favorite cars. I like the hood opening at the fender tops, and would want it just a bit wider in front than his new one. It looks like Norm looked at this hood for some ideas.

Bob, I thought the same thing when I looked at the file name I gave the downloaded 67 photo I copied. But, in any event, it should give Norm a good idea of what you envision. He's good at following these posts.

I think that major of a change skersfan would basically result in a whole different hood. I really like this hood and keep wondering what I would do with the side vents. Almost would like to do a carbon fiber vent of some sort. Hmmm.

I do like this look without the side vents and center spike. (The graphic artist in me had to tweak John's work. LOL)
