Power passenger seat.

Will the power driver seat track/frame fit on the passenger seat? I would like the height adjustment on both seats. i understand there will be wiring required and that it will be necessary to use the passenger seat with the air bag wiring.

Make it a good day.

I would just say that I've never seen anyone post about trying it.

I think at the very least you'd need to carve out the passenger cushion/airbag sensor assembly to fit around the motor/rack - which will give you issues if you haven't already had the sensor recall done. You'll also probably have problems swapping the seat back support assembly (metal parts) over to allow you to get the recline lever over to the correct side. Ugh.

If you still want to try, then try contacting HoosierGXP to see if he has any used driver seat assemblies available.

Thinking of just using the track assembly and switch with a new switch bracket, not using the whole seat. Where might I find HoosierGXP?

Make it a good day.

I have a spare drivers seat I bought for this purpose. I also bought spare cables. My plan was to just install it as is with the switch on the left. I don't find any issue with the switch in the same location. The seat back release is on the wrong side so I was going to swap the back.

If you use the seat cushion you would have to modify it for the air bag switch and possibly the motor. That is why I was going to fabricate a switch bracket and use just the track assembly. I measured the bolt pattern as best I could without removing the seats they appear to be 17 wide and 17 3/4 long center to center. What would you want for the track assembly including the switch and wiring and any idea on the weight and shipping? You could private message me or email [email protected] Thanks

Make it a good day.

I have not tried to fit the passangers cushion on the drivers seat but I did not see anything that would make it very challenging

Not sure what you mean by "air bag switch", but I assume you mean the Passenger Presence Sensor. If so, a point of clarity here: The air bag presence sensor is one with (glued to) the passenger cushion (foam). You'll HAVE to swap the whole cushion - and possibly trim/carve it to fit.

Maybe you understand that and I'm just misreading what you are saying -- but just in case

I will test fit one of my spare passenger seat cushions on the spare drivers seat and see how it fits.

Yes I would like to bolt the driver seat adjuster mechanism onto the passenger seat. That way I am hoping there will not be any modifications necessary on the passenger seat assembly. I will only have to fabricate a power seat switch bracket or find a place to mount the switch.

Make it a good day.

The passenger cushion will fit the drivers seat base. The drivers seat has a cut out for the switch on the left front but the passenger seat can easily be modified to accommodate the switch. The motor is below the springs and does not require any modification. Looks to me like an easy swap.
