Saturn to Opel emblem conversion only

I am looking to relabel my Sky with all Opel emblems. What I am wanting to do is replace the emblem on the front grill which I have the part number for (15774146). As well I am wanting to fully replace the other emblems including the steering wheel (I don't have the Opel Part#) and the wheel hub caps (don't have the Opel part #) and the emblem between the seats above the storage compartment (don't have the Opel part number) and the rear bumper emblem. The thing about the rear emblem is that I would rather replace the current Saturn logo with the Opel logo without having to alter the bumper. I have seen it done to where the new Opel emblem fits into the square cut out of the original Saturn logo and would like to replicate that. Here is a forum I saw of all this done how I'm looking to do it. Anyone have any part numbers for some of these emblems?

You have to replace the grill bar. Or it will look tacky I think.

The Opel rear badge is much larger than the square and it has many angles. I most likely have the numbers as I did this a while back.

There isn't a logo that goes between the seats. The Opel waterfall does not have any high points. It is a different piece than the Sky waterfall.

The only safe way to replace the steering wheel logo is to buy the air bag. Putting one of the hard plastic ones on makes it a bullet in an accident. They are designed to activate and go towards the door, away from your body.

A couple of years ago, all the parts were available, not sure if they are any more.

The Opel came standard with the smokers package, not available in the Sky. It also has a fog light and a switch on the dash for it. Opel GT logos on the fenders and rear quarter panels. The seats did not have a GT logo, they were the standard NA leather seats.

I was originally told that the GT had a thicker windshield, and the headlights were thicker, they appears to be exactly the same as the Sky NA headlight though. They also had different tail lights and no side markers, but did have marker lights inside the fender.

You can purchase a Kilometer/Speedo. It can just be plugged in and the Sky logo does not appear.

For 2010 the GT, and only a few, had special larger side mirrors. One was seen at the Opel Nationals in Germany this past summer.

If no one comes up with the part numbers, I will go thru my receipts when I did it, if I can find them.

I would guess mine is about the most compete rebadging done.

One thing I never found was the hood liner. Located one (was told) in Russia, but the cost to get it to the United States was well over 700.00 bucks plus the guy wanted 200. for the part. Decided against it.

The front and rear bumpers are different also.

Good Luck on your search. Some of our European members might be able to get the numbers for you. @Norbert-GT is a great guy and will help you I am sure.

Thank you so much for your reply on this. This info is very helpful. It seems that there aren't too many differences between the Sky and the Opel but there are enough to make it noticeable to the right person. I'm going to keep looking for the part numbers but any numbers that you have would be helpful if possible. Though the Opel itself did not have an emblem on the waterfall I kinda like the idea of adding one for style. The front grill that I found so far requires me to cut part of the drill itself to fit the new Opel chrome segment in. Here is a link to what I have found. https://www.skyroadster.com/forums/f2...-thread-23984/ does this look like what you had to do?

If u take the center wheel cap and grind down the plastic prongs...it will fit perfectly in your steering wheel.

I have found people talking about using the wheel center caps for the steering wheels but it seems that everyone is advising against it in the instance that the airbag is deployed. It turns the center cap into a bullet coming at you.

Changing the front emblem bar is not a simple remove & replace.

Overlooking something on the back end?

Yes I have read that it takes some alteration to the front bumper itself. This is a post I found on it. Do you agree with it? https://www.skyroadster.com/forums/f2...-thread-23984/

I really would rather not have to do any alterations to the bumper itself and then have to repaint and all. What I have decided to do it remove the Saturn badge and replace it with a 5.5cm Opel badge that will fit perfectly within the square. I went with the silver one https://www.ebay.com/itm/2Pcs-OPEL-3...-/272806056157

I removed the rear bumper bumps, but after I got it all done, did not like the black out/carbon fiber dipped logo. Decided to just leave it off. But if you are really going to change all of this stuff, you need to do the rear fog light. It was one of the main reasons I did the conversion. It gives you another light in the back. Heavy traffic, I have mine on all the time.

Not familiar with a fog light on the rear ......... a photo of the rear fog light would be great. Can't quite picture what that fog light would look like on my SKY. ThX

Wait, I think I have it now. That would be the back-up light in a split pattern with half fog and half back-up lamp.

But now my misunderstanding is what is the Opel change about??

skersfan, guess what? ........... save you the trouble on the photo ....... guess what I have.

So, my question might be is it only the Opel that has that split pattern?
