Stereo??

I drove my Sky for the first time yesterday. I like loud music when Iím driving. The stock stereo is horrible! Has anyone put in a new stereo? Looking for recommendations.

I notice you made a couple of posts regarding both Bluetooth and a stereo. I am going to give you my thoughts. I replaced my head unit with a Kenwood unit, not the most expensive or best one by any means. As several people have pointed out to you, you have to remember this is a convertible with a very small cabin. Having said that the sound that comes out of my stereo is much better than the stock unit even with the top down, it certainly isn't going to be audiophile standards, but much better and louder than stock. Now when it comes to Bluetooth I'm very happy with this but then again, I don't get a lot of calls so I don't have a lot of sample size to base it on. Here is a photo of my unit, if I can be of any more help just PM me...… These are just my thoughts.

I changed my head unit for this exact reason. I went with a Kenwood too and like it but want to get something newer with Android car play...

Installed the Alpine Halo 9 last year. Other than being huge it also is only a single din so it has a pocket for my phone under it.

Bluetooth was optional in 2009 so presumably your car is earlier. Similarly, the best optional stereo package wasn't bad but the regular one wasn't that good.

A driver replacement gives a worthwhile upgrade on the Monsoon system but you will always be limited by the size and configuration of the space in any smaller car so even after market decks (which tend to be thief bait) gives limited improvement.
