Water leaking

Antifreeze is leaking from around back of pump. Nothing at weep hole with 15lb. Of pressure. Can't see where it is coming from.
Could it be one of the o rings on pipe?

Nope..it's the WP. They are pressed together from about 8 different pieces and they leak usually from the rear between one of those pressure points.

Do you know if the car has had a new water pump? (Your join the forum date seems to indicate you might not be the original owner.) Then, if you don't know if a new water pump has been installed, how many miles does your car have on it? Is your car an NA or a Redline (turbo model)? Water pumps can go south anytime, but a Redline is usually expected at about 60K miles. NA's usually go more miles, but you can never really predict anything.

Truthfully, it does have the sound of a water pump needed, and you probably have read on the forum that that can cost anywhere North or South of $1200. If it turns out the water pump is at fault, the thermostat should be changed too. I had forum knowledge (Robo) to convince my dealer that the thermo is a five minute job and parts to avoid an overstated labor charge on the thermo. Good luck on wherever it takes you!

Car is a redline all original. 34000 miles.
That's what I was afraid of. Thank you all for the comeback.

Sadly water pump failures (though yours seems a little early...usually its in the 50K-60K mile area) are common on the turbo cars...less so the NAs. Good news is I have rarely heard of the replacement failing.

Mine (2.4 NA) had a small weep around 70K. I replaced it, threw a turbo on the car, and at 144K miles still no leak.
