What's behind the grille bar?

So I apologize in advance because I'm sure this question has been asked repeatedly for the last 12 years but is it there really not a nice clean black honeycomb grille behind the chrome?

No, if you are wanting to remove the chrome and just run the honeycomb it will not look good. Indented and holes for other grills, Daiewoo and Opel GT have different insets that fit into it, it seems to me.

Iím considering doing the same thing as far as changing that front piece. Just not sure yet. I like the honey comb but not the chrome insert.

Iíve seen a couple black skyís with the whole chrome piece painted black. And I like it.

This is a wrap and a bad example but you get the idea.

So I found a can of black plastidip in my garage and decided to hit the red part of the saturn logo. Love the way it came out. I'm going to do the back tomorrow. Mind the **** lighting, I'll take some better pics when it's light out.

AMEN, I think it would have been cool if Saturn would have colored the inside of the logo to match the color of each car's paint color. Could have been their "thing"

You can get electrical tape in any color and cut it so it fits the inset of your logo...I did it to mine which sits behind the seats by the storage compartment

I purchased a kit from Tony at ASAP Graphics on the Solstice forum that was laser cut carbon fiber look vinyl inserts for the Sky badges. I cleaned the red areas on the badges with alcohol swabs and it was as easy as peel and stick.

Those look really good... how long ago were those purchased as it seems Tony isn't doing it any more?

Tony is long gone...but the best thing he did was the 10 dollar piece that u installed over that annoying red indicator light which states if someone is sitting in the passenger seat. You could select a couple of specific designs.

There is and it's solid, and behind that is the top of the fascia, which explains why the grille is solid.
