Trifecta budget tune question

Anyone else who purchased the Trifecta budget tune have to do this? I was understanding that itís a canned tune and I should just receive the file to my account and once the cable got here Iíd be set. Now it sounds like I have to get the cable, provide info, and then will get my tune. So much for doing it this weekend, lol.

You need the EZflash software for the computer to access the info on your ECM. Not sure why they need it before they send the tune unless you were getting a custom tune.

Itís just a budget canned tune, but for some reason they are certain they need it ahead of time, so I guess once the cable arrives tomorrow or Saturday Iíll give feedback and wait.

Just to close the loop...cable arrived about 2:00 EDT, and I went outside and got the info needed by Trifecta and provided it to them. At 5:47 I got an email that my tune was ready to go. Installed it Friday night, and took it for a spin today. All I can say is wow, this car is even more fun to drive now. Well spent &200 for sure

Anybody know if the budget tune is still available from DDM?

I don't see it listed there, and I seem to recall there was some sort of special hoop that you had to jump thru to select it on their site.

As my car has no performance mods (and is likely to stay that way), the budget tune would seem like the best deal for me.

Thanks.

Now that I have the Budget Tune and Torque Pro What kind of numbers should I anticipate for KR, Knock count, Spark advance and is there any other parameters that I should monitor closely? I have Redline with manual Trans.

Make it a good day.

KR should be as low as possible, i see maybe 3-4 at times, higher octane gas helps a lot. Spark advance depends on the tune so its hard to say, it'll drop to maybe 20 or so at wide open throttle.
