2007 Redline Injector Tick Sound?

Hi. My 2007 was purchased with 26k miles. The owner had a service bulletin about the tick-per- second sound for what I think I remember as being the high compression of the injector ignitor.. or something like that.

Do all 2007's have this annoying tick tick whatever engine sound?

To clarify, all Redlines, regardless of year, have a high pressure fuel pump. This pump generates a loud ticking sound and that is completely normal. I believe the service bulletin is for the application of noise reducing foam around the pump IIRC. It's been a while since I've read up on that so don't quote me. LOL

Too much to list here. See my Garage for details.

To clarify, all Redlines...,
Ironically, this excellent information is a relief. Lol. I thought I might have something in the engine needing attention.

Thank's guys!

Yes, the TSB (and later MY cars from the factory) was to put a foam insulator around the HPFP to replace the fiber one on earlier MY cars. I did the swap myself on mine, but the difference was barely noticeable, so - to the OP - don't sweat looking it up and trying it.
Robotech likes this.

Owner of "Campbelle", a Brazen 2008 GXP ... with mods piling up...

Yeah I did the same on my 2008 with the same results.

Thank's guys. Another great reason to use this forum.

Off hand, I'd pay well for a Tonneau cover for this 2007 RL
