RPM Stage 3 K04 Big Wheel Super Core R&R Video

RPM has posted a video on their FB website (also Kappa FB groups) showing how you to take the K04 turbo apart and install a big wheel turbo. It explains how the core's been modified, talks about replacing aged parts, inspecting the turbo, etc. It also points out that the reason RPM is offering this product is to save money for those who are mechanically inclined. For those who aren't then you'd be better buying one that has already been assembled be it RPM or PAW. This is NOT something I'd do myself but I still enjoyed watching to better understand what's all involved, and I figured a few folks on here would too. YMMV

I'd embedded the video but haven't been able to figure out how to do it yet.[/QUOTE]

Believe it or not, you can actually do this modification with the turbo in the car...

Take off the heat shield, intake, vac line, wastegate actuator, charge pipe (maybe a couple other things which I can't think of at the moment) and the turbo can be disassembled from there. Jim Gassor did that when his original K04 went out.
