Apparently, Druid had the NASSAM 2019 threads deleted from both the Solsticeforum and SkyRoadster.

Suffice it to say there will be a NASSAM 2019 and also a NASSAM 2020. Both events are actively being planned, and will be announced sometime soon.

That's all I can say at this time.

Come on...we know u kiss and tell...lol

By the way, mine aren't. That is such a poor locale for the 2019 meet. It needs to be more central.

Good thing I copied your original post before you deleted the link. The reason they don't want to let the masses know where the 2019 NASSAM is going to be is that they feel it will detour people from going to the 2018 NASSAM in Colorado.

This is traditionally the reason however with the distances involved, people like TS never head west. I personally don't think it is an issue.

And yes, we were asked to delete his initial post.

So since west of Binghamton, is it a few more bridges too far?

I started going to these things several years ago...living in Seattle I'm just curious what would constitute "central" to the community? Or was that even a serious comment...I don't always do sarcasm well...sorry.

Just in case anyone missed the "other" NASSAM 2019 post:

https://www.skyroadster.com/forums/f2...nounced-92602/

One never quite knows what MM means. I took it on first read to mean "central" NY state. But then, maybe he means "central" U.S.

I certainly didn't see anything that would indicate that he was planning on attending.

No sarcasm in my post...just putting my 2 cents. If u wish more owners to come, u must not make it only for the tri-state area and Canada....just saying.

The 2 largest events so far were the Poconos and Canton, both a short drive away from Corning, NY. I guess we'll see as time goes by.

I didn't think you were being sarcastic.

People will come to this. Can you say "Watkins Glen"?

OK, I can say it . . . Watkins Glen. The name has come up in some of the planning discussions, but I don't know, yet, what planning has been done with respect to the track. Officially, I know nothing. Unofficially, I still know nothing.

Hang around, it won't be too long 'til stuff starts getting announced, like as soon as Colorado 2018 is done.

Yeek, Colorado is only 6 weeks away!

My apologies, I wasn't being sarcastic...I was trying to figure out whether the original comment about Nationals being "central" was sarcastic.

Anyway, I think my answer is that the "center" of the US geographically is quite different than the US population "center"....meaning that you're going to get 100 cars anywhere west of the Mississippi and 150 anywhere east...or something like that. So for us Corning is a short 2692 mile drive, see you there!
