4th Annual Palm Springs Run

This years date is October 21st. As usual we depart the Home Depot parking lot in Redlands, at 8am. This year will include drives thru Angeles Oaks, Big Bear, Quartz Summit, Oak Glen, Idyllwild, Anza and Palm Springs.

Possibility of a Car Show on Friday night before the event. Will work on details for that.

The event is free, and hopte to have return sponsors, DDM, Solo Performance, Get your Wheels and Windrestrictor. We will provide the annual free Tee Shirt for the event. Any and all prizes will be received by results of Poker run.

This year we are trying to provide some rides for the Wounded Warrior group. Still in process, but if you have an open passenger seat and would like to take a veteran with you, please let me know as soon as possible

I will be providing a hotel room for 4 of these fantastic people. If you have interest in helping with that let me know.

Official invitation to the West Coast Kappa Group. Would love to have you guys and gals come down for this event.

Again the date is October 21st, with an overnight stay in Palm Springs, dinner and awards following Saturday run. Return trip on high way 74 to Hemet for breakfast at Los Vaqueros on Sunday morning.

We normally have between 20 and 30 cars, but this year shooting for 35.

A very fun event with about 250 miles of driving.

Myself, Robotech and the San Diego Roadster group are working to make this a regional for the calendar year of 2019.

Hi Bob, count me in and looking forward to it! I will have an open seat and would be happy to accommodate a member of the wounded warrior group.

One other aspect to weigh into your thoughts on a National Event: The different numbers of potential attendees.

Over the course of production Toyota sold 223,000 FJs in the US and Canada. There were only 98,000 Kappas sold in the US and Canada per the recent recall numbers.

Something to think about.

Dave I deleted the post as it really was intended to be a pm to Robo.

You have a PM explaining my thoughts.

I am done worrying about Nationals. Will do anything I can to help.

You understand that saying that to the guy who wrote a 60+ page "paper" regarding a ten paragraph post just seems laughable, right? LOL

But you see sir, I no longer work for the Federal Government, 26 years was long enough. I needed a real job after that long of really not doing much. I know you have adapted well, and have lots of time to play while in your cubical.

Anyway I summed it up in my phone call.

Have received many discount vouchers from Windrestrictor, some bags and other stuff.
DDM has promised to send some stuff to us this week. Not here yet so can not tell yo much. They have done very good in the past.
Jeff at Solo is sending tee shirts, key chains and some other things. Plus a 400.00 off certificate on anything you may want from them.
Pretty good grab bag for a free event.

This years tee shirt was supposed to be a coupe, but the graphics guy had never heard of one so put vert on the front. Sorry! Maybe next year.

I have decided not to make the books this year, as it appeared no one ever read them or paid attention to them. Kept asking the questions that were answered on the first page. Won't be route guide either. It will be similar to past runs, but we will just pace it so all stay together. Breakfast will be earlier. Remember to use the Potty stops at the stops.

Ok it is about time to start the herding of cats to Palm Desert!!!!
