Palm Springs run 2015

Run confirmed! This is a free event!

Depart from:

Home Depot
1151 West Lugonia Avenue
Redlands, CA

8AM Sharp

The date ist he 26th of September. We may throw in a car show on the 25th and an overnight in Redlands. We will be starting at 8am on Saturday morning, we will be driving a new part of the route to start. For those that went last year, break out your binder and make your self familiar with run after Angeles Oaks. Similar.

We will provide free Tee shirts for the event, some Tee shirts from the sponsors and other trinkets

I have contacted DDM, Windrestrictor and Solo, about sponsorship. RK and CarId will be approached.

This is a tremendous mountain drive, a great breakfast site, fantastic lunch site and an evening in Palm Springs, with a drive to Hemet for breakfast/lunch on Sunday morning.

Please PM me and list your name if you plan to attend.

Bob

Lodging is going to be a real problem it appears. Almost all hotels are sold out. The one we stayed at last year is full. Holiday Inn Express down the road a ways has rooms currently. But Myrna is on vacation until the 26th. She handles the hotel side of it for Palm Springs.

If we do the Friday night car show and a spend Friday in Redlands, I will try to find the rooms there. I am planning on that, at least staying in Redlands Friday night, makes for a long day driving all the way down there at 5am.

Lodging in Palm Desert, will provide the address in next post. We are adding a Friday night car show it appears and will have hotel location in the next post.

Maybe a major route change from last year, even more twisty roads, mountain views. Will have that figured out by next Monday.

Tentative route:
Redlands, Crestline, Arrowhead, Big Bear, Angles Oaks, Yucaipa, Beaumont, Banning, Silent Valley, Monastery, Pine Cove, Idyllwild, Mountain Center, Palm Desert. Possible drop into Hemet, then Anza, on to Palm Desert.

Will run most of the route Sunday.

Crestline has been removed, we will drive the Rim of the World highway on to Big Bear, with breakfast in Angeles Oaks, the route will remain very similar to last years route. It will be approximately 200 miles on Saturday, with the majority in the mountains and twisty roads.

Hotel is about booked up, so please if you are planning on attending and spending the night in Palm Springs let me know so we can block more rooms.

I am going to the USC/Stanford game with my companies owner and wife. He forces me to go to these things as he knows I am a Nebraska fan, but keeps hoping will change over. I do like the Song Girls and we set right behind them, so the view is good and they're/their great seats !

Spoken like a true Trojan fan. Most have never experienced a real college football game, unless they followed them to Notre Dame.

this is way too laid back, so similar to Pro Football when you attend them, on the verge of boring. But it keeps the boss happy. Hey if their lucky they may have a sell out once this year. Nothing but true fans in SoCal. Trojans, uh are they playing this weekend? Is the in week comment. Pathetic fan base.
