Who's in the Bay area?

Hey y'all, who's in the Bay Area?
I'm in Sunnyvale, just got my 08 Redline.
Burger & beer? Mini tech day at my complex? Still lots of purdy weather to enjoy!

Sunnyvale here too, with an 09 redline. And a mug club membership at Nom Burger too (speaking of burgers and beers).

We have a couple of other South Bay people who are getting active in the West Coast Kappa Car Club. Almost half of the people going on next weekend's run are south of the San Mateo Bridge, for a change.

Check out the website https://westcoastkappacar.club/ and our Facebook page https://facebook.com/westcoastkappacarclub/ as well as our upcoming run which I'll be leading from Woodside to Big Sur in a week and a half: https://www.facebook.com/events/2226064927467208/

Thanks! I've taken note, let me see if the wife will want to ride shotgun :)
Let me know when you are in the area, I'd love to see your 09 and chat a bit.

Sure. If we don't do another pre-run, I'll probably be planning to be downtown on Saturday late-morning. Otherwise, maybe Sunday. Stay tuned. :)

Any other south bay folks want to get together? I could see cars and chicken at Starbird one day this weekend.

Berkeley here. In the process of getting my Sky up here from So Cal. Any of you know a reputable shop to do the heavy stuff on our cars(water pump/clutch)? Mine are fine so far but I know it’s just a matter of time.

I am hitching my wagon of 'heavy duty' stuff to a GM dealership down here (Pearson Buick GMC in Sunnyvale, CA | Serving Bay Area, San Jose, & Santa Clara Buick and GMC Drivers) who work on other Skys. I'd rather pay for dependable work and have it on Carfax anyway. For oil changes, brakes, plugs, etc- it's my regular trusty mechanic (Quality Auto, Sunnyvale) who has great rates, allows me to bring my own parts and hang out in the shop

Coincidently, I too have to change my water pump and possibly get clutch work.

Iíll second Need4Speed2ís comment. Pearson is not cheap, but theyíre accurate and fair. If they say itíll be done in 2 1/2 hours for $200, youíll probably get a call in 2 hours and be asked for $200. Havenít experienced that with any of the three South Bay shops Iíd taken previous Saturns to, including the one I bought two of my three non-Sky Saturns from.
